1.  What’s the first step?

We meet and discuss the project touching on subjects such as site conditions, overall design, and the selection of building elements that will be specified.

2.  What are building elements?

Building elements are everything from footings to cabinet knobs. Framing material choices, windows, heating systems, flooring etc. all impact the finished product to one degree or another. We are here to guide you in these selections and recommend materials or practices which offer the best in terms of sustainability and value.

3.  Can you build me a “green” house?

Absolutely, Chris and Matt have both successfully completed the Built Green training course, and as such, can offer you the latest in green, sustainable, building technology.

4.  How much is this going to cost?

That’s where our estimating team takes over, once we have specified the elements and level of finish required to meet your needs, we perform detailed estimates to determine the costs.

5.  Are you expensive?

There are three basic elements to consider when building a custom home; price, service and quality. Our level of service and quality of work will not be compromised in order to offer a low price. Rather, we prefer to offer premier service and quality at a fair price thus ensuring you value for your money.

6.  Do you sub contract all phases of construction?

No. Doyle Construction takes pride in the fact that we control the entire construction process by having our own crews perform the work required, to build the foundations, frame the home, install the exterior siding and trims, and complete the interior finishing. This full time job site presence, allows us to interact with various sub trades that offer specialized services such as electrical, plumbing, roofing and drywall. By our continued presence we can ensure that all workers on site are putting the needs of the client first and foremost.

7.  How long will it take to build my home?

That largely depends on the size and scope of work, having said that, an average time frame would be four to six months.

8.  Who chooses the materials that will be used to build my home?

We do it together, it is our job to inform you of the options the industry has to offer, together with the pros and cons of each product.

9.  What kind of warranty do you offer?

We offer the Travelers Guarantee Company of Canada’s third party new home warranty. In short, the warranty offers a 12 month coverage on any defect in materials or labour, 24 months on defects to gas, electrical, plumbing and heating, as well as 5 years on the exterior envelope and 10 years on structural. We stand behind our work.
